Yummy Tater Tot Casserole

When you’re in the mood for some comfort food , mixed with some veggies!

🥔 Classic Tater Tot Casserole

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus more for topping)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, corn, or green beans)
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Salt and pepper to taste

👩‍🍳 Directions

  1. Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the Beef
    In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Mix the Filling
    Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded cheese, mixed vegetables, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
  4. Assemble the Casserole
    Spread the beef mixture evenly in the baking dish. Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the top.
  5. Bake
    Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Top and Serve
    Sprinkle a little extra cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking if desired. Serve hot!

🍽️ Tips & Variations

  • Spicy version: Add a little taco seasoning or diced jalapeños to the beef.
  • Extra creamy: Use ¾ cup sour cream instead of ½.
  • Cheesy twist: Mix in mozzarella or pepper jack cheese.
