Extra Fluffy Pancakes

This recipe here is the one that will remind you of breakfast at grandma’s.

🥞 Classic Fluffy Pancakes

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4 (makes about 8 pancakes)

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp melted butter (plus extra for cooking)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

👩‍🍳 Directions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Pour into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined (small lumps are okay — don’t overmix).
  3. Cook Pancakes
Heat a lightly buttered skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Pour about ¼ cup of batter for each pancake.
Cook until bubbles form on top and edges look set (about 2–3 minutes), then flip and cook another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Serve Warm
Stack pancakes and serve with butter, maple syrup, and fresh fruit.

🍯 Optional Add-ins

  • Blueberries or chocolate chips
  • Banana slices or cinnamon
  • A splash of buttermilk for extra fluffiness
